NEW MOVEMENT COLLECTIVE
a promenade performance
In 2016, Renaud Wiser creates Collapse, a period drama, a Southbank Centre commission with New Movement Collective
Dance, architecture, sculpture, film and music combine to reveal a startling new way to see the world. Becoming directly involved in an intimate performance the audience are invited to explore radical technology, movement and live music inside the lesser-known spaces of the Royal Festival Hall. Acclaimed artists ScanLAB Projects, composer and cellist Oliver Coates and award winning performers of New Movement Collective collaborate. Using pioneering image capture techniques, live and electronic music and striking choreographic imagery, Collapse celebrates the imperfect and accidental in today’s technology dependent world. Are we survivors or fossils in the journey of tomorrow?
